Cancellations & Postponements for Workshops (full day or part day) – please see end for additional note about booking Courses (a sequence of full or part days):
If you need to cancel or postpone your Workshop place, please contact Sally asap (always happy to help where possible) by email firstname.lastname@example.org or mobile 07876593664 (answerphone available out of office hours or during teaching Workshops, holidays, etc). Sally will endeavour to reply to you within 48 hours, or 24 hours or less if your message requires an urgent reply.
A full refund will be given for cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to a Workshop – alternatively you can postpone to another Workshop of your choice, subject to places being available. You may choose a Workshop of higher value and pay the difference, or choose a Workshop of lesser value and the difference will be refunded.
For cancellations 4 weeks or less from the Workshop date, a full refund can only be given if a replacement for your Workshop place can be found. If a replacement cannot be found, a refund unfortunately cannot be given, but you can postpone to another Workshop of your choice, subject to availability of places. You may choose a Workshop of higher value and pay the difference, or choose a Workshop of lesser value but the difference will not be refunded.
Postponements and cancellations must be accepted in writing by Sally Evans prior to the Workshop. Postponements must be rearranged for a Workshop or Course which starts within 6 months of the date of acceptance. ‘In writing’ means by email to email@example.com or by text to M: 07876593664. ‘Accepted in writing’ means you must have received an acknowledgement from Sally Evans either by email or by text.
No refunds or postponements will be made for non-attendance where Sally Evans is not notified in writing prior to the Workshop and her confirmation of the notification sent. (‘In writing’ includes email and text).
Refunds are made by the same method as the original payment, or like for like ie if a card payment is made then that card expires the refund will only be made to a similar card. Cash refunds will only be ever given where a cash payment was originally made.
Refunds will not be given where Gift Vouchers are used to pay for the Workshop. Gift Vouchers can only be used for postponements, but they must be redeemed by the expiry date. Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
If using a Craft Courses Gift Voucher, the terms and conditions above will apply regarding cancellations and postponements where there are 4 weeks or less to the Workshop. If this is more than 4 weeks to the start of the workshop or course then Sally Evans will contact Craft Courses to inform them that the Craft Courses Voucher will not be redeemed, and then their own terms and conditions and voucher expiry date will apply.
Additional Note regarding Courses (a sequence of full or part days): The terms and conditions regarding Workshops above applies to courses. Please note that, in addition, refunds cannot be made for weeks where you cannot attend or if decide to stop attending the course part way through. If at all possible, you will be offered alternative places on other courses or workshops to make up the time missed if, for example, you have a holiday, illness or change of circumstances, but this cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability of places.
Safe Working Advice and Practices
Arts and crafts can involve using sharp or heated tools and equipment as well as materials or substances which may create irritation (examples include, but are not limited to, mosaic cutters and tiles, sewing or felting needles, sewing machine parts, jeweller’s kiln, jeweller’s torch, liver of sulphur, etching chemicals, epoxy resin, and others).
You will be given advice on safe working which you should follow to keep yourself and other participants safe. In some instances, there may be advice which you must follow and safety equipment provided which you must use in order to participate in an activity eg using gloves or an approved barrier cream when working with epoxy resin, wearing appropriate protection when approaching or opening a kiln. You may not be permitted to participate in an activity during a Workshop or Course if you, or anyone for whom you are responsible, is not willing to follow that advice.
You are responsible for using equipment supplied for use, or brought by attendees for use, in the Workshop or Courses safely. You should ensure that you work safely for your own protection and for those also attending the workshops and courses.
All children and young adults (ie under 18 years of age) attending Workshops and Courses must be accompanied by a adult who is responsible for them at all times. The responsible adult must ensure that children and young adults attending the Workshops and Courses (where under 18 year olds are permitted) are supervised at all times and are responsible for ensuring that safe working practices are followed and safety equipment or clothing is used properly in accordance with instructions or advice given,
Sally Evans is not responsible or liable in anyway for claims arising from any injury sustained to adults or children (under 18 years old) while using equipment or materials and substances supplied for arts and crafts activities, during the Workshop or Course, or at any other time away from the Workshop or Course premises.
